Over the two-day event, Metzger and other members of the ERA Young Leaders Network participated in team-building and motivational exercises during which they exchanged best practices and proven leadership tactics. Each attendee was personally selected for this exclusive networking opportunity by ERA’s senior leadership team, whose decision was based in large part on the management abilities each member has demonstrated at their respective companies.

ERA Justin Realty’s Operations Manager, Nona Orlando and award winning Realtor Agent, Cathy Vick share the 2015 award art received for fundraising efforts for Muscular Dystrophy and the kids summer camp program. The art by MDA child Reagan Imhoff will be displayed on the MDA wall in their office. Ron Darby, the MDA ERA fundraising chairman for sixteen years thanked the ERA Justin Realty teammates for their wonderful fundraising work for the kids.
For their efforts as Northern New Jersey’s top fundraising ERA real estate office, Darby informed his teammates that the firm was also inducted into the President’s Club, honors shared only by organizations with year-long focus to the Summer Camp For Kids program and fundraising.
Darby, for sixteen years, is also the ERA New Jersey Chairman for MDA and introduced Jennifer Darby Metzger and Albert Rottini for their efforts in leading the team’s fundraising efforts for the year. The firm continues to spearhead their efforts for MDA in this lifesaving mission again.

Activities range from outdoor sports such as swimming, boating, baseball and horseback riding to less physically demanding programs like arts and crafts and talent shows. Thousands of youngsters attend MDA camp each year at no cost to their families. If you’re 16 or older, you’re invited to apply to join the MDA team as a camp volunteer. At most MDA camps, volunteer counselors work one-on-one with campers around the clock, providing the care, close supervision and attention children with neuromuscular diseases need. Counselors push wheelchairs, lift and carry youngsters, and even bunk-down near their campers. But above all, they become a youngster’s friend for a week and sometimes for a lifetime.

Girls Little League Softball was on its way. Teams formed, the excitement began with a parade through Rutherford leading to Memorial Field for their first games. Team coaches added, “We are all very proud of how well the girls play and their show of true team effort throughout the seasons, while having fun.”

Flashback to spring 2011, ERA Justin Realty was approached to be a sponsor of a Rutherford Little League girls softball team. Without hesitation the answer was a resounding yes, never realizing that that team would be honored as the champs for that season.

Now we’re offering a great way to enjoy fruits and vegetables grown right here in New Jersey and have the opportunity to make an investment in these locally grown foods, which in turn helps to keep New Jersey green!”
Michelle Korosy continues to coordinate the Community Supported Agriculture program at ERA Justin Realty, which serves as the pick-up location. CSA programs are run by local farms and involve consumers purchasing a share of the season’s harvest. Once a week for 31 weeks, the farm will drop off bushels of fresh veggies and other to our office.
 
Korosy and Metzger liked the idea and wanted to bring the farm to Rutherford. With 25 members signed up for this season, Korosy said the program has become so popular they need to turn people away because they simply do not have the space to store the food at their office. By mid-summer, Korosy said the shares are huge. Justin Realty subscribes to Alstede Farms in Chester.
 
Korosy added, “We at ERA Justin believe in doing our part to help our communities stay healthy. We also are dedicated in helping support our local economy. Money spent with local farmers and growers all stays close to home, working to build our local economy instead of  being handed over to a corporation in another city, state, or country. Rutherford:  It was just fall, but within a wink and a blink a chill is now in the air, the malls are all decked out with holiday displays, shoppers are out and about and it’s also beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Rutherford’s Kip Center, the areas recreation and nutritional citizen center, where area residents enjoy daily activities and lunch programs. Holiday trees, decorative wreaths have brought much cheer to the Kip Center located at 55 Kip Avenue for its annual Festival of Trees and Wreaths, as well as much needed donations.
Holiday displays abound with participants who were as busy as holiday elves getting ready for the upcoming Kip Center drawing, when dozens of decorated trees and wreaths will be given to winners through their annual holiday drawing. The event helps raise needed donations used to fund the varied activities at the center.

Cathy Vick and Rosemarie Zembryski of ERA Justin Realty are the firm’s coordinators for the 2014 charitable event who created the theme as ERA Justin Realty homes and recently presented the unique theme wreath designed with special selected home keys and much love. They said, “Our wreath submission is our effort to help make a difference for the Kip Center and our community. In order to reach a wide range of individuals and spread our spirit, we dedicate our time to a wide range of charities. We feel that one person making a difference to another can lead to many people making a difference in society. We all have the opportunity to help create positive change. You might not be able to change the entire world, but at least you can change a small part of it, for someone. Our focus is to bring financial benefits to the Kip Center seniors. We’re happy to report that our past entries have been cited by the Kip Center as ‘Most Creative In the Business Category,’ for past years and ERA Justin Realty again was awarded with our current 2014 entry as ‘Most Creative in the Business Category’.

Reflecting, Ron Darby, Broker-Owner, never thought he would be completing his 47th year in the real estate industry, now at the helm of  ERA Justin Realty and 30 years with ERA, a leading global real estate brand.
 
Those at the firm gathered for a celebration dinner with community lawyers, mortgage brokers and bankers, and those business professionals who have been dedicated to the firm’s success since their beginnings in 1950 and always being there for them as they have grown to top 100 ERA success status.
